Do you know the new 3R's of TipOne?

Reduce, REFILL, and Recycle!

REDUCE

Enhanced design and use of recycled material reduce the amount of plastic needed for TipOne® production.
  • Made with Recycled Content: Packaging components of TipOne Filter Tip Refills are now made with recycled polypropylene. Specifically, the refill cassette bases and transfer covers now contain recycled material. TipOne racks will also include recycled material soon. Using recycled content means less virgin plastic is used in the creation of TipOne tips.
  • Strategic Material Design: All materials that could come in contact with the tips are created to use as little plastic as necessary while meeting functional needs and providing full product protection during transportation, storage, and laboratory use.
  • Wind Energy: 27.5% of production energy is generated from wind sources, reducing the need for use of less sustainable wind sources.
  • Robust Sustainability Measures: TipOne racks are meticulously engineered to minimize plastic usage without compromising durability, offering a sustainable solution for repeated use and autoclaving.

REFILL

To reduce the amount of plastic needed for racked pipet tips, USA Scientific developed the TipOne® Pipet Tip Refill System.
  • Substantial Plastic Reduction: With the TipOne® Pipet Tip System, USA Scientific achieves a significant reduction of over 65% in plastic consumption compared to traditional racked tips, thanks to reusable racks and refill wafers.
  • Durability for Longevity: Our racks are specifically designed to withstand repeated autoclaving, ensuring prolonged usability, and minimizing waste.
  • Optimized Packaging Efficiency: Recent redesigns of refill packs have significantly reduced dimensions, enhancing efficiency during transportation and storage while maintaining product integrity.
  • Commitment to Sustainable Materials: We've incorporated recycled polypropylene into our packaging components, with plans for further integration of recycled materials across our product range.

RECYCLE

TipOne components are easy to recycle.
  • Comprehensive Recycling Program: All TipOne components are clearly coded for easy identification and recycling, forming the cornerstone of our commitment to a closed-loop sustainability approach.
  • TipOne Components:Pipet tip racks, wafers, lids, and stack components are polypropylene code #5. A recycling symbol appears on each part. Refill bases and covers are #5 polypropylene and are marked for easy recycling with wafers and racks.
  • Refill Cassettes: Refill wafer containers are PETG code #1 and can be recycled with many soft drink bottles.
  • Shrink Wrap: The shrink wrap on refills, stacks, and sterilized racks is olefin code #7 and can be recycled with "other" recycling plastics.
  • Cardboard: TipOne boxes contain recycled chipboard and can be recycled again.
  • Customer Engagement in Recycling: Our dedicated sales representatives actively engage in collecting used TipOne racks and wafers, streamlining the recycling process, and fostering environmental stewardship within laboratory communities. Contact your sales representative for more information about recycling programs in your area.
