Helpful Terms for Laboratory Gloves
AQL:   AQL refers to the acceptable quality levels for leaks and visual defects observed during FDA testing of exam gloves. Effective December 19, 2010, exam gloves must have an AQL of less than 2.5.
Tensile Strength: 
Indicates the minimum force required to stretch the glove until it breaks.
Indicates how far a glove will stretch before breaking.
510K Approval: 
Exam gloves are Class I medical devices and must be submitted to the FDA to receive this approval demonstrating their safety and effectiveness.
